Five boys teams competed in region semifinal games and there are two left after last (Tuesday) night's play. WGNS' Bryan Barrett has a recap...

Blackman used a 21-to-9 third quarter to put out the Oakland boys in a 53-33 win. Darius Thompson and Jauan Jennings netted 14 apiece for the Blaze. Oakland was led by Dontae Lippert's 11. Siegel got 22 points from guard Ryan Jones in their 77-61 win over La Vergne. After taking a one-point lead at halftime, the Stars used a 21-to-11 third quarter to put the game away. The Wolverine's Marquis Johns had 17 in the loss. Blackman and Siegel will play tomorrow (Thursday) night for the region crown and secured a sectional berth. In Region 5-A, both Eagleville and MTCS fell. The Eagles dropped a 66-63 decision to White House Heritage while MTCS lost to district foe Forrest 44-36 to end their seasons. For WGNS Sports, I'm Bryan Barrett.
