Registration slots are still available for your family to run or walk the 4-K this Saturday!

The Second Annual Rutherford County 4-H “4K race” will be held this Saturday, April 12. This unique race will once again feature a combination road and cross-country course and will serve as the kick-off for the Adventures in Agriculture Day planned for the Rutherford County Extension office. The race is sponsored by Maximized Living Murfreesboro, fce Clubs of Rutherford County, and Animal Care Veterinary Hospital.

Extension Agent Michael Shirley describes the race course and highlights why it's different from others...

Last year they were able to raise almost $3,000 for the Rutherford County 4-H Endowment Fund.

The Adventures in Agriculture Day after the race is a free event designed to teach the community about agriculture in Rutherford County. Farm animals, tractors, games, educational booths, hayrides, and give-a-ways will take place from 10:00-2:00 on April 12, 2014.

Where to Register:

You may download a registration form at http://rutherford.tennessee.edu or you can simply search for the race on Active.com.

Registration is once again only $25 per runner or a family 4-pack for $85. The race is chip-timed and all participants will receive a draw-string bag and t-shirt.
