A 15-year old male student was arrested last Wednesday after a loaded .22-caliber handgun was found in possession of a student.

Kubly says details surrounding this case are still being investigated. However, when asked why students admit to bringing a weapon to school, he says most say it's for protection...

Kubly says to the best of his knowledge, none of the students involved in incidents of weapons at Rutherford County Schools brought them for the purposes of a mass shooting or to hurt a teacher or another student.
