A teacher from Riverdale High School is part of a criminal investigation by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.

35 Year old Brandon Hanson was placed on unpaid suspension a few months ago on March 29, 2017.

Schools Spokesperson James Evans commented, "Brandon Hanson is currently on unpaid suspension pending the outcome of a criminal investigation by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office. Unpaid suspension is standard protocol in these situations. Hanson taught math, and the suspension started March 29 from Riverdale High School. Because of the ongoing investigation, the school district cannot comment further at this time."

Details of the investigation have not been released at this point by the county schools or the sheriff's office.
