After making the stop, the officer saw Eaton take a can of compressed gas duster and insert it into his right nostril. While the car was stopped, it was still in drive and running. Eaton reportedly refused to unlock the car, put it in park and and turn it off. So Officer Watson broke out the back window to gain access and turn off the vehicle.

Officer Darrin Wilcox arrived on the scene to help secure the suspect, who reportedly resisted arrest. After a brief struggle, the suspect was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital and then to jail after being released.

Eaton was charged with DUI and resisting arrest. Bond was set at four-thousand dollars.
