James Evans, spokesman for Rutherford County Schools, says the slick conditions came as an early morning surprise. AGAIN -- Rutherford County Schools are CLOSED today.

7:15am UPDATED information from James Evans: This is James Evans again with Rutherford County Schools. We have an important update about school today. The sheriff's office has notified us of that there are several wrecks on county roads and road conditions continue to be a problem. Because of this update, all Rutherford County schools will be closed today. Again, we are now closing all Rutherford County schools today.
