Competition is heating up for the Rutherford County Commission seat in District 7 that is currently held by Gary Farley. Phil Griffin, Moncrief Williams, Michael Kusch and are all vying for the seat in the May 6th Republican Primary.

Kusch is a Businessman, Chamber Executive Committee Member and Chairman of the Rutherford County Economic Development Council for the Chamber.  He is currently entering year 7 as a Rutherford County Planning Commissioner. Mr. Kusch is also seeking office as the County Commissioner for District 7 in the May 6th Republican Primary.

I am in great company this year as there are 27 other nominees and award winners that are pillars in the county. I am humbled to be associated with this fine group of Rutherford county citizens all who work very hard to make Murfreesboro and Rutherford County a better place.

For the past two years, the Nashville Business Journal has been honoring the leaders, community supporters, business owners and developers who are leading the charge for improvements and economic development  for Rutherford County.

 Award winners will be recognized at a special luncheon May 21 at the Embassy Suites in Murfreesboro.  Robert Rickman, WGNS news.
