While unemployment rates have gone up across the Volunteer State, Rutherford County continues to have the third lowest in Tennessee.
The latest numbers from the Labor and Workforce Development Department show that Rutherford County has an unemployment rate of 4.3%. Williamson County has the lowest at 3.9%, followed by Davidson County at 4.1%.
The highest unemployment rate in Tennessee is in Lake County. Their rate falls in at 11.3%. Lake County, which is where Tiptonville is located, has a population of 7,731 residents.
