The number of teens getting into trouble decreased slightly in May (2013) compared to April (2013) in Rutherford County. Some of the arrests made in May included a single charge of rape filed against one juvenile in Murfreesboro, 21 drug related charges, 13 charges were alcohol related and 31 theft related charges were filed in May in Rutherford County.
WGNS wanted to dive deeper into the drug related charges filed against juveniles in Rutherford County this past May. What we learned is that of the 21-charges filed, 8 of them involved prescription drugs and only 1 involved marijuana. The remaining 12 charges dealt with schedule two drugs. Schedule two drugs include everything from cocaine to meth.
