Rutherford County Codes are cracking down on Hippie Hill, which is located on the outskirts of the county at the Cannon and Coffee County line. Tom Maddox, who is often referred to as "Hippie Tom," told WGNS that the county is making him get rid of all RV's and pull behind campers and only have tents. He said that the county will allow for tents because his property is labeled a primitive campground...

Hippie Tom said that he sees Hippie Hill's future and that future will include multiple tee-pees for people to live in. Tee-pees would fall under the category of tents which are allowed in areas zoned as primitive campgrounds, such as Hippie Hill.
