SB: Oakland Escapes Riverdale with 2-Nothing Win

Oakland softball, behind Lacie Rinus' eight strike outs, won 2-nothing at Riverdale Tuesday night. The Lady Pats pitcher only gave up two hits to the Lady Warriors, which beat Oakland March 26th 9-nothing. Maleia Gray and Savannah Decker went two-for-three in the game, as the Lady Patriots had five hits. Two of those came in the fourth, when they scored their only two runs of the game. With the win, Oakland improves to 8-2 in the district, 31-12 overall. The Lady Warriors drop to 28-9 and 6-4 in the district.

Next up on WGNS this week will be Smyrna at Siegel softball Thursday night at 6:30. The game was postponed from Tuesday due to wet field conditions. Coverage of State Farm Prep Softball begins at 6:20 Thursday night.
