Supporters of the Discovery Center will celebrate all things Southern at their “Moonlight and Magnolias” themed Secret Garden Party on Friday, June 6th, at 7:00 at historic Jefferson Manor, located at 455 West Jefferson Pike.

The phrase “Moonlight and Magnolias” paints a vivid picture of sophisticated Southern style, and beautiful Jefferson Manor will provide the perfect atmosphere for Secret Garden Party guests to celebrate with dinner by Five Senses Restaurant and specialty cocktails, as well as a bourbon tasting.

The Discovery Center’s Secret Garden Party has long been a favorite summer social; Secret Garden Party chair Jill Converse and the party committee promise a fabulous event filled with “Moonlight and Magnolias”.  In addition to fine food and cocktails, party goers will have the opportunity to bid on silent and live auction items.

Proceeds from the Secret Garden Party will support the educational programs of the Discovery Center, where more than 120,000 visitors come each year to experience the interactive children’s museum and nature center that inspires exploration, enhances learning, and builds confidence through diverse programs and exhibits.

The party precedes the Secret Garden Tour set for the following day, June 7th; for only $10 per adult and $5 per child, ticket holders will tour featured gardens in Murfreesboro from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Secret Garden Party tickets are $75 each, and may be purchased at the Discovery Center, or at explorethedc.org.   Please contact Jennifer Neal at (615) 890-2300 for more information or to reserve tickets.
