Serious Accident Saturday Morning on Brinkley Road at Hwy 96

Early Saturday morning, Murfreesboro Fire & Rescue Department’s Districts 5 and 9 and Rescue 2 went to the scene of a two car motor vehicle accident at Brinkley Road and Highway 96.  Robert Rickman has the story...



The two victims, an elderly male and young child, were transported via ambulance to Saint Thomas Rutherford hospital. According to Captain/Shift Inspector Mark McCluskey, they are expected to make a full recovery.




According to Shift Commander Dale Maynard, two victims (a young child and an elderly man) were extricated from a pickup truck and both were taken by ambulance to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro.  We were originally told they would be life-flighted to Vanderbilt Hospital, but emergency crews decided instead to take the accident victims to the local hospital.  Robert Rickman WGNS news.
