The Oakland Lady Patriots claim the 2014 District 7-AAA tournament title, defeating Smyrna 6-to-4, in two games. Smyrna, sent to the losers bracket by Oakland Monday, forced game two with a 5-1 win over the Lady Patriots. It's been 11 years since Oakland has claimed the district tournament championship...back in 2003. Now, it's on to the region for these teams. Oakland will host Lincoln County while Smyrna travels to Coffee County Monday in the semifinals. Monday winners move on to the region finals on Wednesday, the losers are done for the season.
