Shacklett's Photography in downtown Murfreesboro will celebrate their 75th anniversary on Friday and Saturday. The local photography studio started in 1937. Dick Shacklett founded his photography business when he was 16-years old. Now, his son and daughter, Bill Shacklett and Gloria Christy operate the family business.

On Friday evening at 5 Shacklett's will hold a special celebration in front of their store on South Church Street. National Dance Clubs of America will dance to music from the World War II era. Then on Saturday, there will be a birthday celebration and reception next door to Shacklett's at Paw Bunks. There will also be a concert at 11 on the local square this Saturday.
