Shooting at Student Quarters Apartments

Murfreesboro Police are looking for two suspects wanted in a Tuesday (4/25/2017) afternoon shooting at the Student Quarters Apartments, 920 Greenland Drive.

At least one person was shot in the forearm inside apartment 124. Authorities are looking for two men, one possibly wearing a black hoodie with a triangle on it, and driving a black Chevrolet Malibu with no hubcaps.

Murfreesboro Police Sergeant Kyle Evans told NewsRadio WGNS, "Officers responded to a shots fired call. Once on-the-scene, they discovered one person had been shot and that a suspect ran on foot towards Highland Avenue."

It was reported that a second person may have been injured during the incident and left the scene prior to police arriving. Responding officers and a K9 team searched the area, but did not find the suspect(s) or a possible second victim.

The victim was transported to the ER at St. Thomas Rutherford by RCEMS. That person's injuries were described as non-life threatening.

Area schools were advised to secure their buildings while the search was conducted.

One suspect is described as a black male, wearing a black shirt and black jeans. A possible second suspect is described as a light skinned black male (no clothing description available).
