We have been following the story about a new distillery in Cannon County closely and reports indicate the Short Mountain Distillery is now officially licensed. With this news in place, it means that jobs are being created at the first ever licensed distillery in the Woodbury area. The distillery will create Tennessee sour mash whiskey. Production will begin in January. The company says that they will be open for tours in March. The Short Mountain Distillery will be one of only six distillery’s in the volunteer state to make sour mash whiskey.
