"Shots Fired" Call on East Castle Street

Another shots fired call was reported in Murfreesboro.

The latest gunshots were heard in the 900 block of East Castle Street around 4:30 Monday afternoon.

A resident called the police after hearing several shots and then walking outside to find a bullet lodged in a support column.

The case was turned over to Murfreesboro Detectives. At this point, no suspects have been named.

Second Shots Fired Call Monday:

At around 9:20 Monday night, a shots fired call came into police headquarters in the 2400 block of Tour Drive. The person who reported it told officers he was sitting on his front porch when he saw a silver Nissan enter his cul-de-sac at a high rate of speed. He then saw the person make a U-turn while firing five to six shots from the car before fleeing at a high rate of speed.

Police were able to recover five shell casings which were all .45 caliber.

No arrest has been made.
