A six-minute scoreless stretch for Oakland in the fourth quarter broke open a close game, leading Smyrna to a 40-32 win. Oakland, which struggled offensively, only shot 28-percent for the game. Smyrna was led in scoring by junior Taylor Vanderbilt, who had 12 points. Oakland's Devon Epps and Ricky Dunnaway both had 9. The Patriots' season ends at 14-and-14. The Bulldogs punch their ticket to the region tournament and will play #1 Siegel Saturday afternoon in the semifinals.

Stewarts Creek tried to slow down the game with zone defense, but Blackman's patience paid off. The Blaze beat the Red Hawks 54-28. Blackman's Jauan Jennings led the way with 14 points, Andrew Rogan had 13. Stewarts Creek's Ja'Lan Washington and Jalen Fearn had nine each. The Red Hawks' season ends at 7-and-21. Blackman will play #2 La Vergne Saturday evening in the semifinals
