Smyrna Library Welcome Ginger Graves

The Rutherford County Library System has named Ginger Graves as the new Branch Librarian for Smyrna Public Library. She began her duties on August 1st.

She has her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, and her Master of Arts in Education, both from Western Kentucky University.

Ginger started her career as an elementary school teacher before shifting over to public libraries. In 2013, Ms. Graves became the Circulation Supervisor at the Portland Public Library of Sumner County. In 2014, she was hired as the Library Manager over the Millersville Public Library, a new facility she helped open. She has served as the Library Manager for the past 4 years leading a team dedicated to providing excellent patron service, a diverse book and media collection, free internet access and Wi-Fi to community members, and as well as starting a Hotspot lending program.

Ginger Graves is a member of the Tennessee Library Association and is currently enrolled in the Public Library Management Institute (PLMI) program offered by the Tennessee State Library and Archives.
