The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation today arrested Thomas Michael Hufford, 58, on charges of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.

On April 16, 2010, TBI Agents and Metro Nashville Police Detectives executed a search warrant at Hufford’s Nashville apartment located at 461 Bakertown Road in Antioch, where he was operating a photo studio from his residence.  An examination of the computers and storage media at the apartment revealed over 100 images of child pornography.  In April 2011, the investigation was presented to the Davidson County Grand Jury in Nashville, Tennessee.  An indictment was issued and law enforcement officers arrested Hufford at his residence at 706 Nova Court in Smyrna.  Hufford was booked in the Davidson County jail and has been unable to make bond.  Weeks later, TBI Agents developed information leading to a search warrant at the Smyrna address.  A search and examination of computers at that location revealed more child pornography.  That information was presented to the Rutherford County Grand Jury in August 2011.  That Grand Jury indicted Hufford on two counts of Aggravated Sexual Exploitation of a Minor.  There is a $100,000 bond on those charges.

TBI is investigating the case at the request of Rutherford County District Attorney General William Whitesell.
