Smyrna man shot and killed - possibly drug related

December 2, 2008

A Smyrna man was shot and killed in Nashville Sunday night. The shooting death of Gordon Travis Garrett occurred outside the Casa Fiesta Mexican Restaurant on Bell Road near I-24.

26-year old Garrett was dining inside the restaurant when he received a message that led him to walk outside into the parking lot. He approached a newer model white Ford Mustang and was shot. Garrett was rushed to Southern Hills Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Metro Police say the shooting is believed to be DRUG RELATED. The Smyrna man’s past convictions include felony cocaine charges and selling cocaine within 1,000 of a school.
So far, no arrests have been made.
