On September 25 & 26, the Historic Sam Davis Home and Plantation presents Heritage Days. The 28th annual event celebrates the beginning of autumn with living history presentations, skilled artisans, farm animals, live music, and much more. With hands-on activities, find out what life was like as a Civil War soldier, how quilts for warmth during the cold winter months, and how to separate cream from milk to churn into butter. After touring the lower floor of the historic house, visiting demonstrators practicing their crafts across the property, and viewing museum exhibits on the Davis family, Middle Tennessee and the Civil War, stop by the gift shop to purchase a reproduction historic toy or some old-fashioned candy. Guests of all ages are welcome and are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to enjoy under the trees of the historic plantation.

Heritage Days is held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25th and Friday, September 26th. All-inclusive admission is $5 per person.
