A physical altercation between two women in Murfreesboro ended with a stabbing. The incident took place this past Sunday night 10 minutes before midnight.

Victim Brittany Laughlin told police that 24-year old Brooke Nichole Garrard of Wenlon Drive stabbed her in the back. Officers obtained a warrant to arrest the woman shortly after the victim was transported to the hospital. Laughlin did not have life threatening injuries.

When police spoke to Garrard, she admitted to stabbing Laughlin in the back, according to an arrest report. The suspect was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center and later released on a $10,000 bond.
