Stepping Stones Safe Haven, Inc. has been in it's permanent building, The Haven, for over a year. You may be wondering what they do and who they serve.

The Haven, located at 720 Old Salem Road, is a safe and loving daytime resource center for homeless women and women with children in our community. How overwhelming the simplest of their daily needs can be in the face of homelessness. The Haven offers a warm, inviting place to wash clothes, shower, get some food and regroup. Those that serve there, offer guests unconditional love, encouragement, community resource referrals and establish a feeling of peace in hopes of rebuilding lives.

At night, through the hospitality of community church buildings, guest are able to rest their heads without fearing for their safety and the safety of their children.

Stepping Stones is hosting an event on August 15th at 6:00 p.m., not only to celebrate the victories over the past year, but increase community awareness on how to best equip their ministry for the next year forward. The founder of the parent model, Room in the Inn, Nashville, Father Charles Strobel, will be speaking.

The event will be at the Experience Church at 521 Old Salem Road. EVERYONE is invited to attend. You can also learn about volunteering while in attendance.
