The Historic Bottoms area in downtown Murfreesboro continues to be discussed, although out of the limelight compared to the excitement in the beginning.
One of the projects that will still happen, but has been backlogged is the day-lighting of Town Creek. The small creek that was put into underground culverts pre-1960 will be opened up, possibly in 2018. That of course will equal a scenic creek that goes between the Discovery Center on Broad Street to Cannonsbugh Pioneer Village on Front Street.
