Rutherford County and Murfreesboro City students were back in the classroom after being out a couple of days due to snow. At least the majority.

James Evans, spokesman for Rutherford County Schools, tells NewsRadio WGNS they did have some buses that could not complete all of their routes. This was especially true, he says, in the Walter Hill and Lascassas areas.

Evans says they instructed drivers to use their discretion on their specific routes and if buses didn't run down certain roads, parents were notified. He says while most roads in the county were clear, any student that could not get to school Thursday because of road conditions will have their absence excused.

Rutherford County students and teachers reported to school on a two hour delay on Thursday. Murfreesboro City Schools were on time.
