Sulpher Springs Road Man Facing Multiple Charges after Car Crash

A 38-year old Sulpher Springs Road man was arrested on multiple charges after Murfreesboro Police were called to the scene of a vehicle crash at Old Fort Parkway and North Thompson Lane.

Officer Eric Renfroe reports being told by a male passenger his name was Shawn Johnson, who then exited the vehicle and began walking away from the scene. When the officer instructed him to stop, the report indicated he began to run. He was apprehended at the nearby Econo Lodge.

A search of the suspect revealed his real name was Bryan Dalton. A black case, which was disgarded by the suspect, was recovered from a trash can. Inside, several bags of marijuana, several makes of pills, suboxone strips, nearly point-seven grams of molly and digital scales were found.

Dalton faces several drug charges, in addition to evading arrest, criminal impersonation and tampering with evidence charges. He'll be in court February 2nd and was booked into the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on nearly 33-thousand dollars bond.
