For the last 2 years in Rutherford County there have been 549 calls to 911 about a Rutherford County community member suddenly falling to the ground in Cardiac Arrest. Out of those 549 people, 10 have survived and were able to walk out of the hospital with little or no deficits.

This event is to Honor those Survivors, Dispatchers who had the family or bystanders on the phone and were able to help them start CPR, along with the Medics who cared for the people and continued with Advanced Skills and Protocols to either revive them on the scene or in transport to the appropriate hospitals. It's TEAMWORK in all those areas that help the community of Rutherford County become a special family.

This will show the importance of Early CPR and AED. This is the most important ingredient to enabling patients to walk out of the hospital after cardiac arrest.
