A 25-year old Weybridge Drive man faces numerous charges after a traffic stop led to his arrest. Murfreesboro Police Officer Christopher Finley reports Robert Mintlow blew by another traffic stop he was assisting with on Highland Avenue Friday just after 11pm.

Mintlow was stopped at East Clark at Maymont, as the officer observed his tag light was out. When Finley reportedly tried to get Mintlow's identification, he became combative. He turned up the car radio and rolled up the windows. A passenger got out of the vehicle and said he wanted none of the situation.

When asking one final time for I-D, the suspect allegedly shouted an obscenity at the officer. He was then forcibly removed from the vehicle. That's when Finley reports smelling alcohol on Mintlow.

Shortly after being handcuffed, the suspect reportedly began kicking in the back of the patrol car. He eventually kicked the car window off its frame, according to the report.

A transport van was called to the location and the suspect was shackled and taken to jail. Mintlow reportedly refused a blood alcohol test, so a search warrant was obtained. Officer Finley reports the suspect had to be restrained to the chair for the blood draw. He also reportedly said to the officer "wait until I see you on the streets without a badge."

Mintlow faces DUI, resisting arrest, vandalism and implied consent charges. Bond was set at 11-thousand dollars and his General Sessions Court date is August 31st.
