The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation presented a case to the Rutherford County grand jury this month that returned an indictment against a Christiana, Tenn. man for stealing money from his Murfreesboro employer. Rutherford County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the subject of the TBI investigation on the charge yesterday.
Jerry Alexander, 50, was indicted on one count of theft over $1,000.
The investigation revealed that during 2012, Alexander stole more than $1,000 from his employer, Alley Cassetty Brick and Block on New Salem Rd. in Murfreesboro. Alexander was employed as the Operations Manager and took money directly from customers for his own use and voided the business transaction. He also sold the company’s scrap metal and kept the money earned from the scrap for personal use.
He was booked into the Rutherford County Jail where he posted a $10,000 bond and was released.
