Tennessee Bankers Honor Don Moser

Don Moser Donald E. Moser has been named a Leader in Banking Excellence. The Tennessee Bankers Association has named a Murfreesboro resident as a prestigious Leader In Banking Excellence.

Moser began his banking career as a vice president of Murfreesboro Bank and Trust in 1957 and later served as president of Citizens Central Bank. He served as regional president of MidSouth Bank in Carthage and Winchester from 1984 to 1986, and SunTrust Bank in Murfreesboro from 1986 to 1995. Moser was appointed president and CEO of Peoples Bank of Bedford County in 2000.

Moser, who serves as chairman of the board of Peoples Bank of Bedford County in Shelbyville and is a member of the board of directors of CedarStone Bank in Lebanon, is among an elite group representing Tennessee bankers past and present who excelled in banking, community service and civic involvement.

Moser is an active member of First United Methodist Church in Murfreesboro. He is a

past president of the Chamber of Commerce and the Lions Club.

    Mr. Moser and his wife Jean have done so much for this community. I am happy to see him receiving this type of recognition.

    Don and Jean Moser’s names are among the many couples who help make the quality of life in our city, county and our University outstanding. With a supportative wife like Jean, Don Moser has helped provide, through the financial service industry, a better life for many families and individuals. The Tennessee Bankers Association is to be congratulated for honoring community bankers like Don Moser for his tireless service to these communitiy banks and the people they serve. It was very hard to ever beat Don Moser to work each day and you had to plan on staying at the office until almost dinner to stay later than Don………he set the standard for his co-workers and employees for work ethic! Congratulations, Don, on this well deserved honor!
