The annual Rutherford County 4-H Horse Show will be held at the Lane Agri-Park, 315 John Rice Blvd., in Murfreesboro on May 10th at 9:00am.  The rain date will be May 17th.  This year, MidSouth Bank Mortgage Division has sponsored the show.  “The 4-H organization is an amazing example of how to be successful at shaping future leaders and innovators.  They have mastered the skills of helping students of all ages through hands-on learning experiences, and are doing tremendous things with the youth of Rutherford County” Belinda Arender, Vice President  said.  “It’s an honor for MidSouth Bank Mortgage Division to sponsor the Rutherford County 4-H Horse Show.”

The Rutherford County Sheriff’s Department Mounted Patrol will be on hand to present the American flag and kick off the show with style.  The Rutherford County Emergency Medical Service will be providing EMT’s in case of emergency.  “It’s great to know that the Sheriff’s Department Mounted Patrol and the Rutherford County EMS care enough about this community to provide these services.”  Faith Duke, current 4-H Horse Project President said.  “Our horse group is growing, with a record number of entries last year; I am excited to see what this year has in store for us.  The 4-H horse program is a wonderful opportunity for kids to be in an uplifting environment to learn about horses from knowledgeable leaders and peers alike.”

“I can’t think of anything more important than teaching area young people to appreciate others and encouraging them to make positive contributions to society” Arender said.  “Rutherford County’s 4-H organization is making such an important impact in our community, that it’s a privilege for MidSouth Bank Mortgage Division to join with them as a sponsor of this event.”  Anyone needing more information can contact Walter Dirl, County Extension Agent at 615-898-7710.
