"We're making the jump to lightspeed with this year's Shakesbeer festival, in honor of Star Wars Day," said Veronica Bosnak, the Center's Chief Financial Officer and planner of the event. "The combination of classic Shakespeare framed with Star Wars lore is sure to be one of the most unique performances you'll ever see!"

Event participants include: The Bow and Fiddle/Spread Eagle, Cedar Glade Brews, Chicken Shack Express, City Kitchen, Emerald Abbey, FlyBoys, Green Dragon, Inebriated Shakespeare, Jug Creek Distillery, Mayday Brewery, Mid-State Brew Crew, Mid-State Brewsters, Mos Alesley Brewing, M-PROV, MTSU Fermentation Science, Murfreesboro Little Theatre, Overall Brewing and Blending, Panther Creek Brews, Red Silo Brewing, Short Mountain Distillery, Smackdab Brewing, Southern Sky Event Lighting, Stones River Liquor/Blackstone Brewery, and Vitruvian Artisan Ales.

"Our Shakesbeer festival continues to grow in popularity, and we couldn't be happier that so many in the community come out to support our efforts at the museum," Bosnak said.

Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door and include a commemorative tasting glass. Designated driver tickets are $15.

Proceeds for the event benefit the Discovery Center.
