Police almost had them...

A manager at Victoria's Secret in the Stones River Mall called police when two women walked in and stole over $2,500 in clothing. The women then fled the scene in a maroon Ford Mustang with tinted windows.

A Rutherford County Sheriff's Deputy spotted the car on I-24 and gave chase, but when the driver refused to stop, the pursuit was cancelled just as fast as it began.

On a positive note, police do have the tag number that was on the car, which returns to a Davidson County address. However, it is not known if it is the right tag for the registered owner of the Mustang.

A manager at Victoria's Secret in the shopping mall told police that the two subjects who stole from the store, have stolen from them on previous occasions. When she asked one of the two subjects if she could help them, she was allegedly threatened by her.

Metro Nashville Police responded to the home of where the tag was registered and reported to Murfreesboro authorities that the residents did not know anything about anyone visiting Murfreesboro. So for now, an arrest has not been made and the case is in the hands of detectives.
