It's still accepted that about 6 in 10 of today's marriages end with divorce. Divorce is tough for not only the adults, but it also presents challenges for their children. That's why Murfreesboro's Grace Baptist Church at 2523 Bradyville Pike is offering a revised DivorceCare program. Pauline Brower told WGNS...

This will be the fifth year that Terry and Pauline Brower have served as facilitators for DivorceCare. Special sessions for divorced couples or couples thinking about divorce are invited to meet every Sunday evening at Grace Baptist Church in Murfreesboro (5:30PM - 7PM). During the sessions, guest will meet with other couples going through similar struggles.

Pauline Brower is now taking registrations for DivorceCare, although an exact date for the start of the program has not been announced. She told us they hope to start sessions by the end of this month. To register, phone 615-896-1404 or e-mail browertp@att.net.

Kim Tate is taking registrations for DivorceCare 4 Kids, a weekly seminar program for both adults and children, offered by Grace Baptist Church in Murfreesboro. Call her at 615-653-0573 or e-mail kimtate08@att.net.

DivorceCare is being held in the church's Fellowship Hall of Grace Baptist Church. The class is offered at no charge, but there is a $15 fee for the workbook. Grace Baptist Church is located at 2523 Bradyville Pike here in Murfreesboro. The church phone number is 615-890-2600.

This program features 13 dynamic video seminars featuring 32 renowned experts on divorce and recovery. Children attend a separate class, but also follow the same subject matter as the adults each week, but at a level appropriate to their ages. At DivorceCare, individuals become part of a small support group of people who are also experiencing troubled marriages, separation or divorce.

The sessions are held discreetly and are very confidential. Subjects such as anger, depression, loneliness, new relationships, financial survival, forgiveness, reconciliation and moving on are among the topics covered during the program.
