Thomsen Smith picked for leading Congressional Exploratory Committee for State Rep. Joe Carr

Chairman Lee Beaman and Treasurer Dr. Nate Schott, of the Joe Carr for U.S. Congress Exploratory Committee, announce the addition of Thomsen Smith (pictured), a veteran fundraiser who will lead the fundraising effort for the Carr Exploratory Committee.

Thomsen Smith is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and runs RAAMPAC (Republicans Achieving a Majority PAC) for Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey. Thomsen has worked for the National Republican Senatorial Committee, Bill Frist and Fred Thompson for US Senate, Lamar Alexander and Fred Thompson for President, Ron Ramsey for Governor, and the Tennessee Republican Party under four Chairmen. 

Representative Joe Carr is a businessman and farmer from Rutherford County, Tennessee. He has a B.S. from Middle Tennessee State University and is a member of the NRA, NFIB, National Right to Life, Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, and the Murfreesboro Lions Club. Carr was first elected to District 48 in the Tennessee State Legislature in 2008.
