THP Needs Helping In Locating Pickup Truck
July 3, 2008
The Tennessee Highway Patrol is seeking information about a beige or goldish colored pickup truck that was involved in a crash on I-24 around 4:30 Thursday afternoon (7/3/08). Highway Patrol spokesperson Laura McPherson told WGNS News that small black car and a pickup truck were traveling toward Nashville on I-24 near the Joe B. Jackson Parkway. The truck hit the car causing it to cross the median and slam into the left side of Trooper Brian Carmouche who was traveling east on I-24. Trooper Carmouche was treated and released from Middle Tennessee Medical Center. K-9 Trooper Davey also received minor cuts and scrapes, but is doing fine. The driver of the small black auto was flown to Nashville via Air Evac helicopter. Westbound lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours while the Highway Patrol’s Critical Accident Response Team investigated the crash. If you saw the pickup truck that left the scene or have any information, contact the Highway Patrol. If you’re using a cell phone, dial "star T H P" (*THP). For those using regular phones, the number to call over this holiday weekend is 741-2060.
