Three Men Accused of Opening Fire at Each Other in Murfreesboro Park Taken to JAIL

Several men who allegedly fired multiple gun shots this past Memorial Day weekend (May 25, 2013) near Roger’s Park in Murfreesboro have been arrested. We are told by Major Clyde Adkison that when the shooting occurred, there were several innocent citizens in the park attending and celebrating a birthday party cookout.

Through extensive follow up investigations by Detective Chris Gann and other members of the Murfreesboro Police Department “Gang Unit”, three (3) suspects have been arrested. Arrested were Jay Dewayne Marable, Jr., age 21, Demond Woods, age 23 and 19-year old Apollo Shondale Cantrell.

The police say the suspects were all shooting at each other, therefore, all three suspects were charged with three (3) counts each of reckless endangerment for a total of nine (9) counts.

Major Adkison stated in a press release, "The “Gang Unit” should be commended for outstanding investigative work and solving this shooting by making three arrests in a timely manner."
