Trio Accused of Printing Sheets of $20-Bills Arrested
September 18, 2009
At least some alleged counterfeiters have been stopped in Middle Tennessee. You may recall news stories in recent months dealing with an increase in counterfeit bills. We have learned a third person has been arrested in a Coffee County counterfeiting case. Partner station WMSR News reported Thursday that Ronnie Cargile and Tina Gilliam had been arrested on counterfeiting charges. There is no word on if this couple is responsible for purchases made in Rutherford County with counterfeit bills.
Reports indicate after being indicted by a federal grand jury, Brandi Mason of Manchester was arrested by federal authorities. According to the indictment, Mason printed sheets of $20 counterfeit bills and gave them to Cargile and Gilliam. All three were released on their own recognizance.
