At 11:30 this coming Monday morning, Reverend James McCarroll is holding the press conference in the Fellowship Hall of First Baptist Church at 738 East Castle Street. The local pastor will announce a new “True Blue Community Initiative”.  Robert Rickman has the story....

Pastor McCarroll is forming with residents from all walks of life to support the Blue Raiders in its academic and athletic endeavors.

Pastor McCarroll's volunteer group will soon announce several ideas and initiatives to grow ‘True Blue Spirit’ in communities across Middle Tennessee.

On Monday, he will announce a push to make the Friday of Homecoming weekend (October 4th) “True Blue Friday,” and he and his volunteers will ask community members to wear blue on that day to support our university. The 2013 MTSU Homecoming is Saturday, October 5th, with activities planned throughout the week.

Prior to that event, MTSU President Sidney McPhee will join Scott Walker on the popular WGNS' morning talk radio show "Action Line" at 8:10AM.
