TSSAA Spring Fling, an Olympic-style event featuring the state's top athletes, has made an impact on Rutherford County this week. The best high school athletes in the state have been competing for championships in tennis, baseball, softball, soccer, and track & field.

The event was held at 13 different venues across Rutherford County. The week-long event brings in more than 5,000 athletes and approximately 30,000 spectators each year. Forty-four champions are crowned in four days during this exciting week of competitions.

Rutherford County has hosted Spring Fling since 2006 and currently has the contract through 2021. It takes approximately 1,000 community volunteers to make this event happen each year.
