After losing to District 7-AAA leader Riverdale on Friday night, the Oakland Lady Patriots bounced back nicely with an impressive 53-24 win over the Siegel Lady Stars on Tuesday evening. The Patriots dominated the ballgame from start to finish. They shot 48% from the field and out rebounded the Stars by a 27 to 18 margin. The Siegel Stars experienced a bad shooting night. They shot 23% from the field, making only 9/39 shots attempted. Emily Eubank lead Oakland in scoring with 14 points and Ellen Riggins chipped in 10. Paris Lawson lead the Stars with 10 points.

 

The Siegel Stars added one more win to their district record on Tuesday evening by beating the Oakland Patriots by a score of 69-58. Both teams shot the ball well during the contest, with Siegel hitting 48% from the field and Oakland 46% from the field. The difference was free throw shooting by the Oakland Patriots. They shot a low 28% from the line, only making 7/25 attempts. Despite the poor free throw shooting, Oakland was in the ballgame from start to finish. They trailed by only 6 points at the end of the third quarter, but were outscored 21-16 in the 4th quarter. George Stanberry lead oakland with 21 points. Stanberry hit three First Bank three's in the final quarter. The victorious Siegel Stars were lead in scoring by Ryan Jones 20 points and Aden Burton's 16.
