A 58-year old woman in Rutherford County told police she met a man through a dating website called "Marriage Minded People Meet" and shortly after their initial conversation, "Larry" started to mail her cell phones as gifts. Apparently she gave the man, whom she never met in person, her home address.

When the first Samsung phone arrived she called the man and told him she would not accept the gift as it was too expensive. The man told her, "Well, it wasn't a bomb." Perhaps that was the first telltale sign that something was amiss.

The next item to show up was a gold iPhone 6 followed by a midnight blue Apple watch. The woman continued to tell the man known as Larry to stop sending the gifts. He eventually told her to send them back so that they could be sold. He later told her to pawn the phones and the watch and send him the money.

The victim called the police after becoming worried that something else would occur. Police took the phones and the watch and logged them into evidence. The case is now in the hands of Murfreesboro authorities.
