7 Pairs of high dollar designer sunglasses were swiped from the Sunglass Hut in the Avenue shopping center. The theft was reported on Monday afternoon. Two females entered the business and allegedly worked together to lift multiple pairs of Ray-Ban sunglasses. One of the two women kept one of the workers at bay with conversation while the other walked out with $1,200 worth of shades.

While there is rarely good news in such stories of theft, we can confirm that the worker in the store was not injured in any way during the heist. However, an arrest has not been made.

The worker at the Sunglass Hut was able to get a good description of the subjects and even wrote down their license plate number. Hopefully it won’t take long for authorities to track down the two suspects or perhaps give authorities enough information to tie them to other thefts in the area. The Victoria Secret store was the second most recent victim of theft in the Avenue.

On June 1st, a police report documents the theft at Victoria Secret. The employees of the store heard an audible alarm signifying that a customer had walked out of the store without paying for merchandise. The employees told officers they witnessed one female and two males leaving the retailer when the alarm sounded. One of the three was armed with a backpack.  It is thought that the trio stole over $1,200 worth of undergarments.

As far as catching the criminals, no suspects have been named and police have little to go by in that case.
