Two women arrested accused of hotel robberies in Murfreesboro and Nashville

Two women accused in recent hotel robbery cases in the Murfreesboro area have been arrested in Nashville after another robbery in that occurred in Davidson County.

Metro Central Precinct officers Wednesday afternoon arrested the two women believed responsible for Tuesday night's armed robbery of the Holiday Inn at 920 Broadway and recent motel robberies in Rutherford County.

Theresa Keith, 32, and Cierra Villegas, 26, were taken into custody at a parking lot in the 1700 block of Rosa L. Parks Boulevard by Officers Doug Williams and David Sisk. A BB pistol was recovered from them.

Keith and Villegas are being charged with aggravated robbery in the Holiday Inn case. Keith is alleged to have approached the front desk clerk at 8:40 p.m. to inquire about rates. She left to retrieve her purse and came back a few minutes later. As Keith was standing at the counter, Villegas is alleged to have walked in, put a gun to Keith's head, and demanded money from the clerk. The clerk complied and the two fled.

Keith and Villegas are suspected in other robbery cases in Murfreesboro, Nashville and surrounding counties. Their booking photographs are being withheld due to pending lineups with witnesses.
