The March Rutherford County Grand Jury indicted an Antioch Uber driver in an alleged Halloween night rape of Murfreesboro woman.

Forty-two year old Emmett Lyons, Jr., of Longhunter Lane in Antioch, was arrested Friday and is facing two counts of aggravated rape and two counts of rape.

Murfreesboro Police Detective Tommy Roberts reports the 22-year old female victim took an Uber after a friend arranged for the ride. The ride was called because the friend said the victim was "very intoxicated," according to Roberts' report.

The friend told the detective she tracked the ride and became worried when the car went off course to the friend's home. So she went to the victim's home to find her very scared and injured. The victim was taken to the emergency room and the detective was called.

The report went on to say Lyons was developed as a suspect after talking with several witnesses. Testimony to the grand jury led to the indictment and subsequent arrest of Lyons.

Bond was set at 100-thousand dollars and he will be in Circuit Court Tuesday to answer to the charges.
