UH-OH: Teen arrested allegedly admits to stealing an SUV from owner of Murfreesboro restaurant

Remember the SUV WGNS told you about that was stolen this past week from the new barbecue restaurant on West Main Street in Murfreesboro; the one that had $6,000 in the glove box… well – good news. An arrest has been made in that case.

18-Year old Raymond Christopher Burgart who goes by the nickname of “Ray” was arrested and charged with theft over $10,000. The money and the SUV were both recovered and returned to the rightfull owners, Rooster and Lori Beane. A police report shows that Burgart admitted to the theft. He will appear in court on April 23rd.

The original incident report showed that Burgart was accused of stealing the vehicle after allegedly taking the keys off a dining room table in the establishment. The owner of the SUV tracked down the vehicle with the help of On Star. The vehicle was found in the parking lot of a hotel on South Church Street.
