The United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties is in the process of fundraising efforts right now. To date, they have raised a little over $1-million. Their goal is to raise $3.2-million.

The United Way is also involved with a fundraiser involving Reeves-Sain Drugstore.

This year, a portion of every $25 flu shot given by Reeves-Sain Drugstore will be invested in the local community through the United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties. “Reeves-Sain is a leader in offering immunizations in Middle Tennessee.  For more than a decade, our pharmacists have been certified as immunization specialists and are knowledgeable in regards to the latest vaccines available.  We have offered flu shots and other vaccines to the community, while also supporting specific organizations that are aligned with our mission," said Lori Sain-Smith, Vice President of Retail Operation and Public Relations for Reeves-Sain Family of Medical Services.

Sain- Smith went on to say, “We chose United Way of Rutherford and Cannon Counties as a community partner for this flu season.  This organization is such an incredible force in our community.  Their leadership is impressive in their accountability, transparency and impact.  Therefore, it just made sense for the Reeves-Sain Foundation to partner with a philanthropy that has such great history and momentum in changing lives and supporting so many organizations.”

To receive a flu shot, stop by Reeves-Sain Drugstore on Memorial Blvd., Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Walk-ins are welcome.  Reeves-Sain will also provide vaccinations on site for area businesses with 15 or more employees. Please call Reeves-Sain for scheduling at 615- 896-5731.
