Days of Action is an opportunity for volunteer teams in the community to complete projects that benefit United Way partners. Volunteers participate in activities such as refurbishing workspaces for children, providing meals for homebound seniors, and miscellaneous house work to help nonprofits complete projects that need to be done. United Way focused on projects impacting the areas of education, health and financial stability.

This year's Days of Action is also a partnership between Middle Tennessee State University's The Big Event and United Way. More than 200 MTSU students participated in the Big Event, in conjunction with the National Park Service, on Saturday, April 16, at Old Fort Parkway. The students refurbished the park grounds by trimming and planting new trees, landscaping and cleaning up litter and debris.

"Our community is very fortunate to have the support of so many volunteers," commented Lisbeth Couser, Director of Community Engagement for United Way, "together, we are building a community that is paying it forward for our next generation."
